TMJ Relief — Beverly Hills
Armonik Method approaches TMJ dysfunction through the whole system — structure, fascia, nervous system, and posture. Not as a symptom to suppress. As a pattern to release.

"Most tension in the jaw begins somewhere else entirely.
It is held there. Accumulated.
The face becomes a record
of everything the body
has not been allowed to release."
— Natalia Armonik
The temporomandibular joint is one of the most active joints in the body. It connects the jaw to the skull and works in concert with the neck, shoulders, cranial bones, and nervous system.
When it becomes compressed — through clenching, posture, stress, or trauma — the effects ripple outward: facial asymmetry, neck tension, headaches, disrupted sleep, and a face that holds more than it needs to.
Armonik Method does not treat the joint in isolation. It traces the pattern and releases it from its root.
Jaw pain or clicking
Audible or felt resistance when opening and closing, often accompanied by discomfort or locking.
Chronic headaches
Tension patterns originating at the jaw frequently migrate to the temples, forehead, and occiput.
Teeth grinding or clenching
Often nocturnal, this is the nervous system's attempt to process unresolved stress through the jaw.
Facial asymmetry
Long-standing jaw tension causes one side of the face to work differently — visible over time.
Neck and shoulder tightness
The sternocleidomastoid, trapezius, and scalene muscles are intimately connected to jaw function.
Sense of holding in the face
A chronic braced quality — like the face is efforting — that doesn't release with rest or skincare.
Every session is customized. But the logic is consistent: before we can release the jaw, we need to understand what it is holding, and why the system chose to hold it there. The work is precise. The pace is intentional. The results are visible.
We begin by reading the posture — how the head sits on the neck, where the shoulders carry tension, what the jaw reveals before touch. The pattern always begins before the jaw.
Precise manual work on the masseter, temporalis, pterygoids, and associated cervical fascia. The pressure is calibrated — enough to create change, slow enough for the nervous system to accept it.
Jaw tension compresses lymphatic flow in the face and neck. After structural release, we restore circulation — reducing inflammation, puffiness, and restoring natural drainage through the tissue.
Forward head posture is one of the most common contributors to TMJ load. We address the neck and shoulder girdle to remove the structural weight that the jaw has been compensating for.
The jaw is a primary storage site for the stress response. Through attuned touch and breathwork, we invite the system out of protective bracing and into a regulated, open state.
After release, the face needs time to settle. We close each session with gentle sculpting work to restore facial symmetry and allow the new baseline to consolidate.
Results vary by individual. What does not vary: when the jaw is allowed to release, the whole face reorganizes. These are the changes clients return for.
Clients commonly report significant relief after a single session. For chronic TMJ, a series is recommended for lasting structural change.
The jaw carries unconscious effort. As it releases, the lower face softens, the mouth relaxes, and the eyes open differently.
Where one side has been overworking, balance is gradually restored — a visible shift that requires no injectables and no downtime.
When the jaw is no longer under load, the muscles that connect it to the skull and neck can begin to decompress.
Clients describe leaving sessions feeling deeply calm. This is not coincidental — it is the goal. A regulated system holds less in the face.
Releasing nocturnal clenching patterns and calming the nervous system consistently supports deeper, less interrupted sleep.
"When the nervous system can exhale,
the face stops bracing.
That is not cosmetic work.
That is structural honesty."
Natalia Armonik — Founder
A TMJ-focused session with Natalia is quiet, precise, and fully attuned to your system. There is no standard protocol — only a consistent methodology applied with care to your specific pattern.
Before You Arrive
A brief intake form captures your history with jaw tension, grinding, headaches, posture, and nervous system patterns. This allows Natalia to arrive informed and begin the session with intention.
First 15 Minutes
Natalia observes posture, palpates key holding patterns, and listens to what the tissue communicates before the work begins. The jaw is assessed in the context of the whole.
Core of the Session
Myofascial release, intraoral work (if appropriate), lymphatic drainage, and postural correction are woven together in sequence. The pace is slow. The depth is calibrated. The system is invited — not forced.
Closing
Gentle facial sculpting restores symmetry and allows new patterns to settle. You leave with a face that has exhaled. Rest is recommended afterward.
Ongoing
Structural patterns built over years require consistent work to fully resolve. Natalia recommends a series of 4–6 sessions for lasting TMJ relief, followed by monthly maintenance to support the new baseline.
Natalia works with a limited number of clients to maintain depth and precision. TMJ-focused sessions are available as a standalone appointment or as part of a structured series.
